Vince Zampella, Has Died in a California Vehicle Accident
The visionary game developer, renowned for co-creating the globally famous video game Call of Duty, has died in a traffic collision in Los Angeles, California aged 55.
The tragic news was announced by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the development studio he co-founded.
The renowned industry figure lost his life when his vehicle was involved in a crash and caught fire on a freeway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"We are facing an unimaginable loss, and our hearts are with his family and friends, his family, and the countless individuals inspired by his creative vision," an official with Electronic Arts stated.
