The Streaming Giant Casts Ideal Performer for Bon Clay in One Piece Upcoming Installment
Baroque Works is set to exert significant influence in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, even if the major clash won’t take place until season 3, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has recently been selected.
The streaming service revealed Tuesday that the skilled actor will appear in the One Piece cast for the third season and will embody Bon Clay. Bon Clay can use their power to change into an perfect replica of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their dominant hand. The actor, who is identifies as non-binary and goes by they/them, will portray a version of that character re-envisioned as non-binary identifying, instead of as a drag performer, in the live-action series, differing from the source material and anime.
Escola will work alongside multiple recently announced actors tasked with bringing the group to reality, featuring leader the main antagonist, brought to life by Joe Manganiello, an emerging star as Miss Goldenweek, and an accomplished actor, who is also part of the cast as the monarch of the desert kingdom.
Though the role is a major member of the group, the persona won’t appear until One Piece the third season. Given season 2 expected to adapt the Little Garden segment, this signals a notable change in the timing of their first appearance, one that could signal further changes to the plot development.
