The Derry Prequel Series Premieres Second Early on the Streaming Platform
Excitement is building for the horror series the Derry series, that's been receiving positive feedback and drawing from references from other Stephen King works. Now, the network announced that episode two will arrive early, released fittingly for the spookiest night.

Starting on the last day of October at midnight PT, episode two of the Derry prequel will launch on HBO's online platform, before its linear broadcast. Future chapters of the show's first season will premiere on Sunday nights on the network and streaming service, culminating in the final episode on December 14th.
Storyline Summary
Based in the world of King's It, It: Welcome to Derry is inspired by King’s iconic novel while enlarging the setting realized by the It movie director in It and It Chapter Two. The first It movie highlighted kids and teens facing supernatural evils, thus it's suitable that the series upholds that legacy. However, the debut of HBO’s Welcome to Derry proves it intended to escalate the fear, providing heightened horror than Muschietti’s films and setting a brutal tone for the rest of the season.

Taking place in the 1960s, the program presents a fresh cast of adults and children living in a seemingly idyllic town concealing a sinister core.
