The United Kingdom is set to progress with utilizing the entire amount of frozen Russia's assets to support the Ukrainian military campaign, Leader Sir Keir Starmer has stated.

In a collective announcement, the officials of the UK, the French Republic, and Germany asserted that this joint measure would escalate tension on Russian President Vladimir Putin and persuade Moscow to come to the table.

They further noted that the move would be executed in tight collaboration with the US.

British restrictions have frozen in excess of £25bn of Russian funds since Russia began its comprehensive attack against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. However, previously, funds allocated to Ukraine using Russia's assets had solely been drawn from earnings and returns generated on them.

Sir Keir informed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that the United Kingdom, the French Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany were united in their aim to push forward toward utilizing the full value of the seized Moscow's national assets to conclude the conflict.

He stated that more measures over the next period would heighten the tension on the Russian government.

This statement follows EU representatives gathered in Copenhagen previously to debate utilizing seized Russian assets for a €140 billion loan to Ukraine.

Recently, President Donald Trump encouraged G7 allies to seize or otherwise use immobilized Russia's holdings, according to media sources.

The worth of seized Russian holdings in the European Union is assessed to be nearly €211bn.

The Russian government executed widespread aerial attacks across Ukraine on Friday, causing blackouts in significant regions of Kyiv, Kyiv, and multiple additional areas.
