Amazing $30 Map-Making Software Bundle Represents a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

Following a brief run earlier this year, this cartography software collection has returned for a limited time that lasts until Dec. 2. Described as an extensive collection of mapping tools created by a specialized software company throughout their history, the complete package is valued at over $1,300. Additionally, there exist multiple package options available here.

The Main Attraction

The big draw is certainly permanent access for Campaign Cartographer 3+, an industry-standard mapping application which enables users to create everything from fantasy overworld maps, detailed regional charts, urban layouts, and most notably, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

An imaginative landscape chart created using the CC3+ software platform.

Bundle Tiers

Basic Package

The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four from the thirty-nine available products: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This one's only for existing CC3+ users, yet it provides fresh fantasy design elements for overworld maps, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens for use in virtual tabletops, over twenty-five top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-item bundle starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting through inclusion of permanent CC3+ access, the first Annual volume, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. Cartographer's Annual is the annual collection from the company's ongoing subscription program featuring a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you present urban areas in 3D perspective with isometric views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions for the map-making process.

Complete Collection

Starting at thirty dollars, the 39-item bundle contains these components:

  • Advanced Terrain Generator
  • Dungeon Creation Tool
  • City Designer 3
  • Cosmic Mapping System
  • Viewpoint Enhancement
  • Dioramas 3
  • Character Design Module
  • Symbol Set 2: Fantasy Floorplans
  • Symbol Set 3: Modern
  • Schley Dungeon Collection
  • Symbol Set 5: Cities of Schley
  • Monster Token Collection 2
  • Source Maps: Temples, Tombs and Catacombs
  • World War 2 Interactive Atlas
  • World Builder’s Compendium
  • Annual Volumes 1-17
  • Campaign Cartographer 3+ (Lifetime License)
  • 3D City Symbols
  • Comprehensive Mapping Guide
  • Fantasy Landscape Symbols
  • Monster Token Set 1
  • Source Maps: Castles!
  • Metropolitan Source Maps

All 17 volumes of Cartographer's Annual are included here, plus numerous other resource and asset packs that can help users design entire planets or galaxies, or just go all-in on traditional fantasy world-building: combat arenas, underground complexes, cities, and land masses in multiple viewpoints. Users can also create character illustrations. For $30 as opposed to $15, the full bundle offers tremendous value, particularly for mappers who have only the annual CC3+ license and want to upgrade to lifetime. But it's obviously an even better deal for cartography beginners considering you even get introductory guides to facilitate learning. The one caveat here though the purchase is available across platforms, the software is only usable with Windows systems.

Philanthropic Aspect

Similar to previous bundles, a portion of each sale supports charitable organizations. For this one, the beneficiary is Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief. The Bundle Filters option appear near the page top, but you can also select any amount for a donation in the right-hand section. Additionally available is an donation allocation menu just below that, enabling adjustment of the distribution percentage allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
